We hope that returning players will come to camp here at Mason.  Camp will certainly help all players tighten up skills before tryouts. Tryouts will be only two days this year, requiring all athletes to be in great shape and ready to go. Athletes are expected to attend both days of tryouts.  Appointments, vacations, and/or work schedules will not be considered “excused”. Please be sure that physicals are scheduled during the summer break rather than during camp or tryouts. The lack of a physical is an unexcused absence.

While this camp is going to be GREAT for our program (and athletes), there are many other camps you might also want to attend. I strongly encourage you to attend our camp and then see about the other camps. Here is a list of websites that should help in finding a camp:

www.hoyavolleyballcamp.com  (Georgetown University)

 http://gomason.cstv.com/camps/gema-camps.html (George Mason University)

 http://www.marymount.edu/athletics/volleyball/2009%20MS%20camp%20form.pdf (Marymount University)

http://www.coachhouser.com/SummerCamps.html (List of camps available in VA)

 http://www.goodcounselvolleyball.com/camp.htm (Olney, MD)

 http://www.navysports.com/camps/navy-camps.html#a18 (Navy Volleyball Camp)

 http://www.virginiavolleyballcamps.com/camps.html (UVA)

http://www.hokievolleyball.com/camps.php Last year, athletes attended the VA Tech camp and there were some mixed reviews. There are two camps offered at Tech and suggest attending the NIKE camp over the skills camp.  Nike camps tend to be more consistent in what they offer.

To the rising 8th graders, we also suggest checking out camps at local high schools:
