Noel Obusan scored 14 points to lead the Mustangs to a 69-51 Victory over Central-Woodstock Wednesday night at Central. Will Nunley scored a career-high 12 on 6-6 shooting, and Nate Ogle and Philippe Griffiths added 11 apiece for Mason, winners of 8 straight. GM now sits at 14-3 overall and 9-1 in the Bull Run District.
Mason raced out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back. Leading 34-21 entering the second half of play, the Stangs outscored Central 23-4 to open the stanza, with Nunley netting 8 points and Obusan 7. Drew Nickle scored 8 points and Angel Casteneda 5 for the visitors as all the Mustangs played major minutes in the rout. Ogle led on the glass with 9 boards in just under three quarters of work. Obusan dished out 6 assists and only committed one turnover. Mason had 16 assists on their 26 made buckets and only 5 turnovers as a team.
GM hosts a streaking Strasburg Rams team Friday in a key BRD tilt. Strasburg has won 4 games in a row and sits at 9-7 overall and 5-4 in the BRD. Game time is 7:45 at MEH
