New GMHS Stadium Bleachers Installed The Athletic Boosters and FCCPS shared the costs of a 450-seat stadium visitor bleachers that was installed over the summer. The elevated bleachers are ADA-compliant and afford visitors the same accommodations that Mason fans have at all of our away contests. The boosters paid $21,000 from its general fund and FCCPS paid $35,000 from capital funds. The new bleachers will improve safety as well as provide visitors with excellent viewing. |

Boosters Fund Equipment Sanitizer Based on a request from GMHS Director of Athletics Tom Horn, the Boosters voted to purchase and provide as a gift, a $12,500 state of the art equipment sanitizer for use by all GMHS teams. The sanitizer is the size of a large home freezer chest and generates ozone to clean equipment and uniforms, killing all bacteria, including MRSA. The machine will save GMHS thousands of dollars annually in cleaning fees, which previously involved sending equipment out to a cleaning service once a year. Teams will be now able to clean their equipment multiple times each year as their is no limit on use and operating expenses are negligible. |

GMHS Athletics Web Site The GMHS Athletic Department web site has schedule and score information. The site, made possible by a grant from the Boosters, allows coaches to input scores, and most have been doing so the day of the contest. Each team has a page on the site with rosters, schedule, results, and more. |

Bill Rose Mustang Fund Established Falls Church and the GMHS athletics community lost a great friend and supporter when Bill Rose passed away. Bill was a generous contributor of financial support as well as his time to local athletics. The Bill Rose Mustang Fund has been established in Bill's memory to provide grants to enable economically disadvantaged GMHS students to participate in Mustang sports. Grants are being provided for athletes. Tax deductible contributions to the fund can be made payable to GMABA Rose Mustang Fund, and mailed to Booster Treasurer Jody Kane, 1100 N.
